Description
When Marcos and I travel, he just pulls over at every place that he thinks will be a good foto op. He takes a shot now and then, but he's got the eye. We never get anywhere very fast, but who cares?? He knew this would catch my eye, so stop we did. It poured that day and I got wet, but it was all so worth it.
Oregon coast, south of Coos Bay somewhere.

I wish I had that eye of a photographer....reason I take a hundreds of shots before going home. Nice find and shot. Aloha
Very nicely done!
The perfect companon! I love this brooding scene.
I love the Oregon coast. This is such a wonderfully typical view of that area, and one I never tire of seeing. How nice that Marcos sees good stopping places! Seems like maybe you should keep him around for a while. :D
This is amazingly beautiful; great compo and a breathtaking shot!
The Lord is my rock, but this one's pretty nice!
This is beautiful Great capture
Bloody damn well gorgeous matey.
I am so far behind on comments after having been on vacation. I love the stormy coast shats. And how wonderful that you get to travel with such an awesome person.
Well Denise said it for me. Another courageous shot, because you let a big dark mound---with dark silhouetted trees---be the 'star' of your shot, taking up a big swath of the space and the light. But that's the point of the shot---the way that big rock dominates and even obliterates anything in front of it. You caught some light on the front of that rock---nice seeing!---and the trees up there seem lonely and majestic, standing alone in the sky next. And the background is 3-toned: Light for the front waves, deeper blue for the rest of the ocean, and a sleepy gray for the sky. This inclement weather has brought out a wonderful side of you, you're finding its poetry and speech all over the place. A very moody, beautiful shot, and gutsy---like the landscape itself. And it's great that Marcos is so attuned to your photographic needs: Not everyone understands the call of the camera!
