back when they were meant for off road use.
I have heard that this style is still sold in other parts of the world but not in the US because of the gas tank being under the passenger seat. I do not know if this one had it's tank relocated

Nice shot :)
I had a 1977 Toyota Landcruiser. Loved it. And yes the gas tank was under the passenger seat. Mechanically it was tough as nails but prone to excessive body rust. The 6 cylinder engine was based on the Chevy Blue Flame 6 as Toyota bought the blueprints for the engine from GM. The Blue Flame 6 cylinder was used in the very early Corvettes (1953 to 1955).... Cheers Ken
These are fun to drive and love it when we put big tires on them nice shot.
What a beast! Great looking cruiser and so is this photo. Great shot Richard. Stan
Quite a sturdy look Richard.
Beautiful Beast!!!!!
Always wanted on of these.
I can see how having the tank there could be a problem :o A very tough looking vehicle!
Cool car!
That is one cool looking Land Cruiser, Richard.
That a great model to feel it ((5++))
Wow, a real one, very cool.
Very beautiful shot!
it's too clean, jeeps need to be covered in mud :-) Awesome shot :-)
Impressive jeep! Excelent capture!!
Nice!
stunning
I could use one of those with all the snow we have here.
Shining shot.
It looks powerful!
My late friend had one, red it was. He used it to pull a rig (18-wheeler tractor) from a muddy spot where it got stuck - it took him an hour in as he called it, 'Super Low' to pull the rig out and the heads were white hot A most impressive vehicle
cool
Very cool!!!!
You used to see a lot of these on the road here in Australia, not so many any more because of the body rust issues.
