superb, like a relief map

definitely like a map, but then a number of your closeups are cartographic. Also like aerial views. But I think when you see nature the ways you do, one finds nature patterns all over your work; they just come naturally. It also feels like a face; or a sculpture that melted and then drooped out of shape. Marvelous droopy masses, and all kinds of busy-work around (the shingles and fissures), and the contrast of those yellow-oranges with electric blues. In this shot, it's like one of those spots in nature that one marvels at but isn't sure they'd like to be "caught inside of". As kids we'd have gasped "Ooooooh, cooooooool!" but then "eeeeeeuuuuuuuuuwwwwww!!!" like it was some primal slime, oozing out of the forest. Another terrific closeup from you---you find the power-grid in these things, and they wind up pulsing.
