Description
Approaching the Cambodian border from Bangkok, Thailand, we stopped at Aranyaprathet, the last town in Thailand, at the Cambodian Consulate-General, for those who needed visas and then proceeded to the border. At the border our luggage was off-loaded from our two mini vans and put onto old, delapitaded wooden carts. While we went through the Thai passport control and then proceeded through 'No Man's Land to the Cambodian passport control at Poipet, Cambodia, our luggage was pulled by men to the the Cambodian side. Once we cleared passport entry requirements the luggage was transferred onto a mini bus and we proceeded along highway 6 to Siem Riep.
