The Alte Nationalgalerie, or Old National Gallery, is an art museum noted for its collection of 19th-century European paintings and sculptures.
The Old National Gallery, completed in 1878, is one of the museums that make up the world famous National Museums of Berlin, and together with the Old (Altes), Bode, New (Neues), and Pergamon Museum, located on the Museums Island, it was listed in 1999 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Source: Encyclopedia Britannica).
