Description
This small river boat is taking tourists on an excursion up the Spree River toward Mueggelsee in the southeast part of Berlin. The seating area of the boat is fully enclosed. In the background is the Berliner Dom (Berlin Cathedral), Berlin's largest church, completed in 1905.
The construction cranes visible are on a site that is constructing a new, 5 station U-Bahn (Underground) line that is being laid underneath both arms of the Spree River that form the Museuminsel.
This picture was taken on 26 December 2013 from the Muehlendamm Bruecke looking downstream,

Perfect light for this shot. The cathedral has a wonderfully pastel look, much like a drawing. Beautiful! (I'll give my vote for the German-speaking guide, as well!) :)
Thanks Tara!
No words. Really impressive. Bravo
Bill need not worry about German speaking guides as most Germans now speak English, which puts us English to shame as most English cannot speak German! Super shot mate, very well taken.. Rob
Amazing depth for us to see all the details in the Cathedral. A great photo my friend!
