Description
I probably should explain, for those of you who do not know, that a nisse or tomte is a small mythological man who guards and helps Scandinavian farmers. The mythology is too long to explain here. I did the first one for the village Scandinavian baker who has been more than kind since moving here.
Thanks to all for all.

Thanks very much for the explanation, it is an amazing image and has more meaning to me since reading the intro. Great work, Happy New Year, hugs Jane xx
Schöner Render
great image , is that blood on the tree from a previous one?
nice scene to illustrate mythology
fabulous scene! Thanks for the explanation.
Love it! But then I pretty much love anything Scandinavian. Excellent
Excellent work! That is one nasty looking rat. Hope the Tomte doesn't get hurt.
I know that these guys are going toe toe, but for some reason it made me smile.. amazing detail and I am lovin the action...
nice image. I know of the Hine based figure on the left but is the creature on the right something you created? I've never seen it in the community and I usually try to find creatures like this and hold them captive in my Runtime folder to eventually unleash them later in my renders!
The creature is Ratz by Sixus @ RDNA
That rat armor is really cool!!!!!
first time to see the armor for the rat. superb composition and poses

Amazing creation, and good info, very well done.
Really interesting and well done scene Rick. Having never heard of Tomte or Nisse, I googled and found how interesting the gnome is, I have to read further. Thanks for the continuing education and great art. Rick
