Back for more...Bob, some people here haven't gotten all their ebots of late---me included---so if you get this, just know I commented on some images last night too (all on page 1 of your gallery). RR's doing more work on the ebots, so some are coming late (if at all). Anyway, to this image... Zoomed...the skin has quite a bit of detail: We can see the array of pores, light freckles, rouge in the cheeks, etc. It looks exacting. The corneas (of her eyes) are a greenish-yellow tint---quite striking, as your eyes always are---with a highly defined window reflected in them. I have no idea how one applies a reflection on an eyeball in 3D, but I assume it takes finesse and planning. It's very clear and enticing---someone seems to be back against that large window, and she's looking straight at him or her. And again, fine white highlighting along the bottom of the eyeballs, skin lines in the lids, thin hairs around the eye, etc. I presume a Poser artist can spend as much or as little time as they choose, on such details; but I appreciate that you have quite a few details in your portraits, all of which takes time, I presume, and choice, effort, etc. The shadow-work is also subtle---as she's looking straight at us, yet the shadow around her nose is (subtly) different on both sides. Very nicely done. Her hair seems to end in soft wisps; and you have a whole series of hues in the top of her head, where the hairs cascade in different waves (mostly autumnal hues to match the background). The background has subtle layering of fore, mid and backgrounds, and it also feels a bit like old decorative papers or endpapers, in its hue and design. (I mean book endpapers---an art which, unfortunately, is quickly disappearing from earth.) And her lips are detailed with a burst of bronze-like greens and yellows---almost metallic. A very nice burst of light, some of which matches her corneas. Whatever you start with, you've nuanced her features in many ways, and placed her between foliage on both sides, with an opening in the middle, for a kind of balance. As always your eyes and hair come forth like lights; and, while she's somewhat statuesque (it, still, posed, looking straight at us), your light and hues make her alive and enchanted. Oh and the collar---I assume it's attached to her clothes, out of frame; but it's a fascinating camouflage-type of material, with finely highlighting on the eyelets. Meticulous work, Bob...For a straight-on portrait, it's very nuanced and complex.
