Description
The Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox Cathedrals are located adjacent to each other in the Alefkandra section of Mykonos Town. They look similar on the outside but the Catholic Cathedral is much more austere inside. Neither has the size that is usually associated with cathedrals.

Thanks so much for sharing the photos and info on these two cathedrals. It really shows a vivid contrast. I never did know the difference between the Greek Orthodox and the Roman Catholics. Now I have a glimpse through your camera lens.

The Greek Orthodox is the predominant religion in Greece and it looks they have more money in their coffers!

I'd never thought of a Catholic church as being austere, but the comparison shows exactly what you're talking about and makes it clear. Terrific pair of photos!
I shows my bias that I would find this space much more conducive to worship. I like the clean lines and empty spaces. The pews look rather hard though. It's interesting to see the contrasts between the two. Beautiful capture!
