Sonoran Desert near New River, Arizona
A few years ago I posted a bunch of pictures of ocotillo in bloom. They're so graceful and lovely, it's hard not to overdo! In the spring these spiny stalks are covered in tiny green leaves, and the tips bloom brilliant orange. They're one of the most elegant plants in the desert, to my eye. In the winter they look like rebar with thorns, but they still possess a strange beauty.
The iconic cactus in the back is saguaro, of course.
If you look at this in zoom, be careful not to get too close ... those thorns are pretty sharp!

I think it's cool the way you can take objects that most of us would never give a second glance at and find the uniqueness of it.

Great POV with the cactus in the background and I bet It makes a great fence.

The texture details are wonderful and well worth the zoom, the lines and colour against that blue sky also make this attractive
