Description

I've always been very fond of Halloween, it became my favorite holiday probably sometime in my very early twenties (which is far longer ago than I really want to think about) and has stayed there ever since. I have to actively hold myself back, once September rolls around, because I quickly become tempted to start "decking my halls" far too early, if I'm not properly restrained. After the first of October, however, the chains come off, or maybe they come out? In any case, the decorating and more begins. The best part of carving pumpkins early is that you get to watch them slowly decay into fascinating and macabre faces, and when they get too far gone you still have plenty of time to make NEW ones for the holiday itself, I consider that a win/win scenario. I never plan ahead what I'm going to carve, each pumpkin has its own personality, so it's usually pretty easy to just "let it happen" when I do these. Hope you all enjoy it!
