Description
Captured 9/26/13, early morning looking into the sun, somewhere in the neighborhood.
This is not the best time of the year for these guys, but always worth a shot.

What a fantastic capture of this fluffy seedhead...I love this stuff, but getting it to sit still for a portrait is almost impossible. Looks like you had a calm atmosphere for this shot, it's nice and clear and beautifully lit!
Nice work on this very lovely capture, Harry.
Beautiful shot!
This is gorgeous--the light is just beautiful!!
Superb, Harry! This species is not hardy here.
Nice shot on this type of "bottle brush" like plant.
Fabulous close-up and fantastic shot!
Great capture, they make even the bins behind them to look beautiful...
Pretty image~
Delightful lighting you've caught on these delicate looking grasses.. Lovely shot mate, well caught.. Rob
Your shots of these and other plants in your neighborhood have been beautiful. This is alive in luminosity: The light in these wispy grass-heads is just beautiful. And your ability to isolate their light against the shadowed background, shines. Compositionally, the back-fountain grasses make a whole crowd of illumined 'heads' (don't know the biological term for them), as if we were looking at a crowd in a sports' arena, leaning into the field. The blue of a garbage receptacle---in back of the grasses---adds a beautiful hue to the whole: I didn't even know what it was at first, just that the blue was beautiful there. A fine pov choice. It's a wispy and beautiful shot, with beautiful ethereal light: This series is truly luminous. Harry, I had IP server problems the last two days, thus my absence last night. I'll be back for more, but I'll have to stop now as the signal's going in and out once more. I'm gonna fav this, I hope it goes through. But I'll be back for more, it's a great pleasure!
