Description
Photo taken last Sunday when we went with Miriam to Schinveld, not far away from our place.
A bit more information about this location:
At the edge of the Schinveld woods,
half hidden among the foliage, lies the Nonke Buusjke.
A historical gem that is unique to the Netherlands.
It fosters a collection of South Limburg half-timbered houses and
workshops from the beginning of the last century. Centerpiece is the
completely restored half-timbered farmhouse. Around the
outbuildings as bakery, syrup distillery, carpentry workshop,
weaving house, clog and shoemaking.
All buildings are fully furnished with authentic furniture and
utensils around 1900 on the Limburg countryside
were used.
A collection of the time for agricultural mechanization
makes the memory of a past society completely.

the past is present
It is good to be reminded how hard people worked in those old days when the pace of life was slower. We are only here because of these people. A really wonderful and touching photograph Mies. Thankyou.
