Description

How we take the modern age for granted, with instant communication, 24-hour rolling news, internet, mobile phones. Imagine if news of an event took days, weeks, even months to reach you. Or not at all. The wait would seem interminable, the uncertainty overbearing, if you were waiting for a loved one to return home. A fun image to make. The terrain is a couple of instances of LandMass stuck end to end, with custom morphs on. The trees are geometry-based and 60k polies each, and there's about 25 of them in scene...and they all have transparencies on too, so there was a tad of worry as to whether Poser would just have a total head-fit. But it managed it. :) Water is of course Aquazone. Lights in the houses are all individual lights. Only postwork was compositing the sky in and enhancing the flame on the torch. As always my undying thanks and love to the better half of MortemVetus, my wife Tracey, who inspires me every single day, supports me always and is the centre of my universe. I love you Tracey, forever and more, until the end of Time. x. An outstanding tribute to love... you can feel her desperation as she waits there on that dark dock. Beautiful work Andrew.

Beautiful, you really captured her lonely vigil. The atmosphere is perfect for what you are trying to convey. Nice work.
