Description
Do you hear that whistle down the line?
I figure that it's Engine Number 49
She's the only one that'll sound that way
On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe.....
Much better viewed via ZOOM.
Another in my limited fun series, captured 9/6/13, within easy striding distance of home.
Actually, this pic was not shot at night but in the early morning. I didn't want to post the original today because it would distract from this captivating scene, diligentlly postworked for this special effect. To see the original, check out my yesterday's posting. So many fun possibilities in this capture that I'm going to play it to the hilt.
Still no incoming member's ebots on their work, so any of my comments are on indefinite hold. Renderosity has listed it as a last-of-things-to-do priority.
Totziens.

Travel into infinity.... Kewl! Aloha
Great postwork
It does seem to be another planet, or this one post some apocalyptic toxic event with that lavender fog...eerie and right in season for Halloween, your favourite holiday, Harry. Great work!
Love the look of this one, Harry. Really the ultimate in cool work for sure.
Spooky!
trippy shot
Fantastic creation/manipulation !
well done
This is awesome, great postwork!!
Inverting, darkening, re-coloring, etc, create fun images, to be sure, but this one has heft...real presence. I mean, rather than looking like a 'play' image, it looks like a genuine alternate-universe. You should know, the original of this series (from the previous day) is a marvelous image all by itself: in the detail of the stones, the bleached white light, the contrast of stony right with that long bare path on the left, the balance of smooth tracks with stony detail, your proportions, etc. But here, you've dusted it all with a purple-faced rouge, something from a morgue; and softened the tops so the buildings and trees are more like thoughts (or nightmares) than objects. And---the crème de la crème---that tiny light in the back of the original---an approaching train maybe?---is, here, an eerie yellow beacon of some strange being. You said this wasn't really 2:30 am---well I HOPE not, lol: If that's what your area looks like at 2:30 in the morn, I'd suggest movin' the hell outa fast! Instead, it's a very convincing alternate universe, subtly articulated, with a total black sky as polar opposite to the original's white sky as the topper to the whole thing. This could join hands with your delicious ghouls for halloween. Wonderful.
