Description

I stopped to watch a bee on Elderberry flowers. Watching the bee so closely, I did not notice the green Anole tail, sticking out of the flowers. This 8 inch lizard took off at the click of the camera so I do not have the front end to show you at this time. Photo taken at the Loxahatchee National Wildlife refuge in 2009 with my old Minolta camera! I left it large for a better zoom! Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Very long tail – do they eat bees? We have a lot of lizards this year but none so colorful – nice shot!

Hehe! I love this, Dana, what a find! I am very lucky that my camera is absolutely silent.

Great capture Dana. I would have never noticed it if you hadn't mentioned it. Slowing down some? lol

What a long tail! These are what I think of when I hear the word lizard. They are what I grew up seeing the most in Louisiana and still see a lot of around my mom's house. We called them chameleons because of the way their skin changes colors. (It was a while before I knew that real chameleons are very different.) Great shot! I can see his body in the zoom.
