Apparently, this Troll stayed up just a tad too late, and got caught by the rising sun (or Gandalf) and subsequently turned to stone.
This is another shot from our journeys in the Black Hills area. I could seriously spend months here - everywhere you look there's beauty to be captured.
We're back home, now, and I'm starting to go through the massive amount of photos resulting from this trip. I'll be processing the ones that need it (I shot exclusively in RAW format with the Canon), and posting more as I progress through them. I'll also set up an album on my website.
I'll be getting caught up on comments (hopefully) over the weekend, and getting back to work on the next page in the Girls' adventures as well. (I could swear I caught a glimpse of them, and some of their friends a few times while we were doing the tourist thing.... Must just be my overactive imagination... ;-D

Yep, I can see it all clearly... he got caught up in whatever he was doing and didn't notice the sun coming up. Sucks to be him. Awesome shot!

Yeah, I'm not getting comment e-bots either - just the faves notices... I just posted a comment in the community forum.. I sure wish they'd get all these issues worked out. It seems like there's a new issue every week since that last round of "improvements."
