lovely dedi --- i live in nyc (actually queens). but in the 80's i lived across the street from the WTC (Gateway Plaza--i was one of the first to live down there)...the view from my bedroom was the towers...did shopping, banking, eating there--had wonderful brunches in the Vista Hotel--used to have dinners at the top of the world restaurant and walked through the towers each day to catch the subway to go to work--so i am quite familiar with the location... always thought they stuck out like two sore thumbs--guess i was right, since they really were easy targets for these crazy men...had thoughts of going down there today, but the weather is crushingly oppressive (high humidity and in the 90s) so it will wait until it cools off some--i'll take some photos of the site and share them in the gallery...
