Description
Leute gets ready for her bath after getting water from the pump, heating the water on the wood stove, and pouring it in the old tin tub. No wonder she hates to take a bath! Phew!!
My daughter Heather goes back to Japan tomorrow and I am so sad. I always worry about the plane flight which is 13 hours long. Hopefully she will get there safely.

Ah. A horse trough. I bathed in a cast iron bath tub outside with a fire pit dug under it, lined with rocks when I first moved to the high desert. Hauled water, chopped wood for fire & cooked on the old wood stove. We also had an outhouse. Lol. I lived in far outside of Pioneertown. And it was! Nicely done! ")
I've always loved that set of antiques... we took baths like this all the way through my high school years, well at least until I split to live on my own. Dad didn't want to spoil us with "modern conveniences" . This is a splendid scene Sherrie, great work on the dynamics!

when I was a child my mother heated water on a gas stove for our baths, so I am not that far removed from realizing how much of a chore it can be superb render and composition

Our well always went dry in the winter and Mum and Dad melted snow in tin double boilers on the Acorn wood stove for all the clothes washing and baths! Always wanted to go to my grandparents who had running cold water but also had a water tank heated from the wood stove! There I didn't have to shovel and carry snow in buckets and then be subjected to the somewhat shivery prospect of taking the bath, always after dark with the blinds closed of course!! Great render and obviously brought back some , (not so tragic), memories! Thanks!!! Beautiful render!
