Description
I am not good at identifying wild flowers... I tried a little research on line. Unsuccessful. I suppose I should try to find myself a book I can thumb through. Any recommendations?
The photo was taken during a recent hike, here in Southern California, in the foothills.
More photos to come...
Thanks for stopping by, commenting, etc. . Have a great day~

beautiful ! Cann't help you with the determination though
I’m not good at that either but this may be a mariposa lily – google “MaCalochortus Plummerae” the photo look like the same flower to me. I use to go hiking with a friend who could identify anything and give their Latin names. Great image love the DOF!!!
Superb capture Melinda. God bless.
what a pretty image!
I don't know, Melinda....a poppy of some sort?. Flora is not exactly my forte. In any event, lovely colors and focus in this stellar snap.
