Description
Mount Adams tops out at 12,281 feet and rises more than 8,000 feet above the surrounding landscape. It is not considered to be dormant, although it isn't exactly active, either. If you could see through the clouds that are obscuring the top of the mountain in this photograph, you would not only see an impressive volcanic peak, you would also see Mount St Helens in the background. The two peaks are about 30 miles apart.
Can you imagine living on this farm? What an incredible, variable, amazing view you would have!

I spent some time in that area immediately after St.Hellens blew with my Army unit on search and recovery missions. I have also been on parts of St.Hellens that no longer exist. Thanks for sharing.
What a beautiful vista; yes, I can well imagine how amazing it would be to see that every morning...I'm always astounded by how much the view can change just by moving a few feet up or down or even sideways. Wonderful capture!

I expect the farmers might be a bit nervous given the recent history of the area. I saw Mt. St. Helens from an observation point in 1995. This is beautiful image. A wonderful vista.
An enchanting landscape! Large, wide and gigantic with the Moutains. The eyes enjoy these far-sighted. I can only look at us from one house to another. But I did not want to live here. Unless I would earn my money as a seismologist.
