Description
One hit! On a prop shaft of all things. That was the undoing of HMS Prince of Wales.
Just before noon on December 10th 1941, the second wave of G3M bombers launched a spread of torpedoes at the zig-zagging British "Heavies." Just one torpedo struck home, and exploded amongst all that important stuff under the Prince's stern. I guess with the Bismarck fresh in their minds, some men on the "Prince of Wales" must have had an awful feeling they'd seen this happen to someone before.

King George V-class battleship came from Turbosquid- certainly isnt perfect but it is a good headstart... it will do at this range till I finish tweaking it.
The "magpie"-painted battlecruiser is Chris Schell's HMS Hood retextured to represent the Repulse... well it does if you stand back and squint your eyes.

Great scene. You feel like sitting in one of the attacking aircraft. After the loss of the German Bismarck, this incident is the other milestones representing the end of the big gun ships.
Fantastic image mate, a dark time for the Royal Navy.We have a huge 16ft model of Prince of Wales in the Fort Perch Rock, so if you need close up photos for detail let me know. Given the price structure, the idea of Turbosquid selling something that "certainly isn't perfect" is quite telling..... All that aside, a great dynamic image that conveys the story very well..... 10/10+
