Description
I like patterns and this World War II torpedo propeller caught my attention at a rest area, in the state of Georgia, USA, on our 1600 mile (2575 KM) trip north to New Hampshire. The best I could tell this was about 9 feet (2.743 meters) long.
My 97 year old mother in law is now home and some blood thinners solved the problem of a tiny blood clot in her brain stem. Thank you for your notes and prayers. I’ll be back to commenting tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated.

good she ok. guess it cooler up north . cool looking shot you took.
Nicely presented collage! So glad to hear things have improved and she is home again.
that is a cool pattern, cool sign info. zoom is a pleasure/ bet the american pickers guys would love to find a rusty prop like that in a barn.
Very good news about Nonni! Glad that she is home and resting. Cool captures and great collage
Glad that she is OK Dana! Marvelous capture, congratulations!
A beautiful if deadly object. Good news about the lady!
Cool Dana. Great images. Glad things are better.
Was that on 95? I will be travelling there in June on the way to N.C.
Quite a fascinating object unless its churning through the water towards you.
I would hate to be out sailing and have this come at me!
Great news of the M.I.L. Dana and I like your shots.
Excellent shot of the power end, showing the contra-rotating propeller sets. Of course that prevents the torpedo from spinning opposite to the direction of only one propeller set. You don't want a spinning torpedo as it could blow its mind!
Great image here of a piece of history.
Fantastic captures/pictures !
Glad she's doing better. This is a wonderful find, excellent shots!
nice news! excellent capture
I agree with Andrea. Glad Jo's mum is home & getting better, must be a relief for you both xxx
great capture
Glad to hear things have improved. Nine foot seems a bit short. Best guess would be an air-dropped variety. However, that image looks like the things I had for bunk mates several times. I'm going to guess an oldWW2 Mk 14 or similar Cold War model.
Great very interesting capture Dana! Good news on Your Mom!!
Fantastic collage! I'm glad that your mom is better! :)
