Description
Another shot of no man's land, captured 5/11/12, mid afternoon, at the area indicated in the title, in beautiful Huntington Beach, California.
It doesn't show, but it was very windy that day. I didn't stick my fingers into that light green stuff, but it appeared to be garden variety algae scum. Other than an occasional bird, hare or lizard, there were no animals, arachnids or insects to be seen.
A ZOOM will bring out the true essence of the image.
Have a nice day.

Beautiful place !!! I bet it buzzes with life now!!!
Wonderful place, excellent shot!
johndoop: there is virtually no life there, at least visible to the naked eye, at any time of the year. The silence is deafening.
Wonderful colours and shapes. great composition..amazing habitat
Wonderful image my friend, superb details!
I love your Bolsa Chica fotos, Harry. It's a very special place and I miss being able to see it as often as I did when I was down there. I've seen all kinds of life there, from birds to fish to a few random mammals. Not a lot, but they ARE around.
It really does look post-apocalyptic, Harry; that standing driftwood is quite eerie! And I do remember the strong beach winds in that area, the blowing sand often felt like it could scour off your skin. Beautiful capture of this seemingly-empty landscape!
Most of the wildlife found here is best viewed through a microscope. I am curious about how this place may have looked 50 years ago. Nice scene of "no man's land"
Nice shot Harry!
There won't be.. That green scum, you got it right mate, kills everything.. It should be rovoved then the wetlands will recover.. Good view of the Apocalypse! Rob
Beautiful and bleak image! Perfect title. It looks very apocalyptic. The couple of leaning skeletal trees add a lot of interest. Wonderful light and colors.
