Description
Can you imagine being locked away for years behind stone walls? No privacy, nothing to do, prison garb, a small four man cell, cold in the winter, hot in the summer, abusive guards, poor food. And living amongst a population of a thousand desperate men...many armed with shanks ready and willing to harm you at the slightest provocation.
Inside the old Idaho State Penitentiary...no longer used since the infamous prison riots of 1973.
Stay tuned for more pictures..., to show you around:)

That's enough to keep me on the straight and narrow.
Hey what do you want room service! I could write a book on this comment...
you paint a lovely picture, and the answer is no thank you
If you can't do the time.... Great image Bill :)
In there for a reason - no sympathy!! Nice shot Bill.
Nice shot. Those walls are imposing.
Sounds just like life in the UK mate LOL Beautiful image Bill. Love the new avatar too :)
LOL at Ronnie! I love the UK, and even prison life can be comparatively pleasant here compared to the USA.
I wouldn't like it at all. xx
The world shuts down on you...not a good feeling. Nice shot. Aloha
Superb capture Bill. God bless.
great capture
Impressive capture Bill I'll pass
Pretty elaborate & decorative architecture for a prison. But I won't be planning to book a room at the Chateau Idaho State Pen anytime soon...
Excellent stonework if you zoom and look around!
Splendid shot here, marvelous place, fine work!
Yikes, Bill! What did you do/not do to get inside there? Interesting symmetry and stone work. The sun and shadow make a nice break in the symmetry. Not somewhere most folks would like to be. Keep up the good work. This is interesting from the architectural point of view.
I am sure they would rather go to prison I Denmark. Then you can have tv and be educated, while you are there. Its like a luxus hotel. Hmm. That door is really spoiling the beautiful building. Would have been better, was it made of wood or atleast another color than that :)
Very nice capture.
It's lovely architecture, too bad it was used for such a sad function; even more sad that people do things that require prisons to begin with! Wonderful shot!
Not my kind of abode mate.. Reminds me of the imposing build front at Leavenworth.. Great shot.. Rob
Great pic Hugs Susan
Such a different feeling in the courtyard than inside the buildings. This looks quite pleasant!
sad looking place. cool shot
I have to agree with most of the other comments it is however prison and not a resort. I always say send them out on a raft in the middle of the ocean and be done with them... sorry but if you do the crime pay the fine.
