Description
Late spring the Chilnualna Falls are overflowing - a telephoto lens helped me get this shot along the trail. At the top I got as close to the edge as I dared and couldn't believe it - in the spray of the cascades there was a rainbow!

I like how you have carried over the shapes of the needles onto the landscape. The needle like fractures on the bedrock are very natural even in this abstracted form and for me they speak a reality of the landscape. There is a strong pop art effect to this composition. A cross between Japanese, I want to say Edo watercolors, and 60s Americana poster pop art.
This is so beautiful! I can almost hear the roar of the falls and feel the mist on my face as the water sings to me.
