Description
Hi Friends,
Yesterday there was a carnival in our village.
This beauty was the first in the procession.
On the board is a Dutch expression written:
"Ik ben haantje de voorste".
Literally translated, I am the first cock in front.
Such as: 'I'm ringleader'.
That is an expression like someone always wants to be the first in everything.
All the way this nice girl wore this beautiful cock on her arm.
Such a sweet creature, I was petting him,
and he said nothing, not even crows. ;-)
Of course I took lots of pictures.
It was really cool to do this, especially my fingers.
And now, the flu has to tackle me.
But it was worth it yesterday. ;-)

Both he and she are beautiful! His feathers are gorgeous. Wonderful bright orange and metallic green sheen. She has a beautiful smile. I like the accents of feathers painted on her face and sewn onto her jacket. Excellent capture! I hope you feel better soon!

Great capture, Mies! I love her smile and her bright eyes. Colors and details are excellent!
That is a 'Million-dollar-smile' - if you ask me! - and the Rooster is also very handsome, I wouldn't want to miss a Carnival like that either - it's always so interesting to experience the happenings of the local Community. Another cold or the flu? - oh dear Jacomina! Your immunity system must be really down to ZERO! Get well soon, please!!! BB BTW I have finally found some time, to visit the galleries again - after a major clean-up, caused by the recent weather extremes!
