Description
This beached barge just south of Saint Louis on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River shows the current problem with low water levels due to last year's drought. Combined with barges crashing into locks and oil spills and one sees why the river taffic has slowed to a crawl this winter. The good news is that we have had some rain and snow. Maybe water levels will come up this Spring.
