Description
Taken with a new Canon EOS 6D during my trial run with it back a couple of weeks ago.
One of my favorite areas of photography is landscape photography. The lens I was using here is not highly recommended for this type of work. However, I am quite pleased with this outcome compared to similar images I've taken here with my four year old Olympus E-30.
This is Picnic Point about a mile from where we live...we come here often:)
Note: Much better zoomed.

Very beautiful area Bill Great shot
Superb capture Bill. God Bless.
It came out beautiful...Excellent! Aloha
Whatever you used gave us a gorgeous foto--just a great shot!!
lovely
It's a beautiful spot, and a wonderful landscape. Nicely done!
Perfect peace! I love this!
Not far from Tara's photo I think! Very nice shot. I have a friend now getting very excited about buying the 6D and the 200 mm f2.0 lens. He does want the 5DMK3 but lokes the fact that the 6D is lighter and much cheaper. What would you tell him about the 6D Bill?
For what its worth I use all types of lenses including a wide like this for landscapes! But hey, that's just me! Great job.
Beautiful scene....
Wow, I don't see anything at all wrong with that combination of camera and lens. I tend to not listen to "experts" myself, and basically just do what I want with what I have. Often I think they say things just to make you spend lots of money on more expensive pieces of equipment. This is lovely!
WOW! it is just gorgeous in full size. Did I remember to day congratulations with your new camera? :)
it a beautiful composition, uncluttered and serene
What a beautiful view, ideal for a picnic & a relax & I bet Mandy loves it!!
Outstanding capture Bill! Great light, mood, and atmosphere!
very lovely
To me the camera and the lens work just fine. This is an excellent image.
Most peaceful mood atmosphere in this pic of the isolated spot, Bill. Does this mean that you actually purchased the camera after the trial run? If so, congratulations!
Your love for shooting landscapes certainly shows through in your photography, Bill. And this one is no exception - a gorgeous shot my friend! So did you end up getting that Canon?
Very impressive view, goes on for miles mate! The new camera is very impressive indeed.. Well done.. Rob
Very nice capture. I like the calm water very much. Well done.
beautiful view, and once again I like that fact that you are trying out the equipment, much better than having a closet full of lenses that you never use, I always read everything I can if I am looking for new equipment you have probably already used this side but a good one for camera review is this. side by side comparison
I agree what a beautiful view Hugs Susan~
