Description
This is a vervet monkey. They are so cute but can become a real plague if you start feeding them. I captured this one a mere 3ft from where Kayla and I were sitting and eating cookies in September when we visited the east coast. He was just waiting for a morsel. The owners of the guest house told us that if we feed them we've got to bring them back home with us! LOL...
Thank you for popping in and for your very welcome comments and favs on my last upload "Regal".

Stunning capture! One of these bit me once. If they lose their fear for humans they can get quite aggressive.
Nice work,but be careful.
Love his little face!! xx
What a cutie!
A lovely shot and you could make a friend for life!!
Love the look in his eyes. Very captivating.
Adorable shot. CC
Taking candid shots of me again!? He must be focussed on Kayla - super portrait! Clive
Stunning capture Carin. God Bless.
LOL! Yes, it is a really little cutie and you captured it perfectly.
TERRIFIC SHOT!
Awesome contrast and texture in this portrait of one of our distant cousins, Dierbaar.
Such a delight to see this! Such a charming neighbor. :)
Great capture! almost sounds like a teenager.....
Monkeys are barrels of fun to watch but I never want to live with one again. Oh, I didn't tell you about having one living in our BOQ (bachelor officers quarters) when I was a Second Lieutenant...what a mess! Great portrait of this little guy.
He looks so hopeful...our biggest scroungers here are squirrels, cute but not as cute as these. Great capture!
Nicely done!
I recognize these people. I hear that this expression translates to: "Hey...you! Over there! Gimme some of that good stuff." Well...I have that on rather dubious authority. That doesn't matter: I love this shot and I happen to like monkeys quite a lot. They're such elegant, little people.
Outstanding capture though they are like furry beggers (Hey, hey, gimme a peanut. How about some fruit? Are you going to eat that?)
old monkey or hivernal coat ? :) very nice capture
up to some monkey business no doubt :)
Beautiful and interesting animal. Aloha
Beautiful capture... very very well done!!!
S/he looks very cute and it might not have been bad to get to take it home. Kayla would have loved it! :>)
