Description
I just needed to make something like this, sick and tired of winter and snow - we're having another "arctic" period here in Denmark, can't wait until it's over :)
This scene was based on/inspired by a painting by Danish landscape painter Peder Mork Monsted (corr. Peder Mørk Mønsted).
Not going for photorealism really, I think I'm aiming at what could be called "painting naturalism".
Vue render, Photoshop for minor corrections.
Mainly custom made plant/tree models (Onyx).
First upload of 2013:)
Thanks for viewing, comments etc. always welcome and appreciated.
(Those of you who want some sequels to the fantasy series of mine: Don't worry, there'll be more...)
Have a nice day,
Lars

I think you need a holiday in South Africa! Superb image, as always.
Wow, I thought it was a photo. Superb work!
Oh, fantastic is not enough! This is beautiful,I always enjoy your take on nature
The atmospheric depth looks perfect, as does the complexity and appropriate level of randomness of the plants. If I was to pick one major detraction it would be the water, which looks too viscous to my eyes. Combined with its colour (which I know is supposed to represent brackish water) it makes it look more like oil than water. I hope it won't be too long until you get to appreciate this type of weather in the real world again :)
Very good picture and render.
Wow. I think I'd forgotten how realistic your pure forest scenes were until seeing this. That's so funny: it's the complete opposite for me. We've not really had winter at all in a couple of years. We don't usually get much of one, but we've had none at all this year. I've been looking at images of ice and snow longingly. But then, even when I lived in the north, I never wanted winter to end. I think Denmark would suit me nicely.
I can smell the spring time in your Scene, wonderful done!!!!!!
wonderful scene I particulaly like that water how did you do that?
