Description
I just needed to make something like this, sick and tired of winter and snow - we're having another "arctic" period here in Denmark, can't wait until it's over :)
This scene was based on/inspired by a painting by Danish landscape painter Peder Mork Monsted (corr. Peder Mørk Mønsted).
Not going for photorealism really, I think I'm aiming at what could be called "painting naturalism".
Vue render, Photoshop for minor corrections.
Mainly custom made plant/tree models (Onyx).
First upload of 2013:)
Thanks for viewing, comments etc. always welcome and appreciated.
(Those of you who want some sequels to the fantasy series of mine: Don't worry, there'll be more...)
Have a nice day,
Lars

first i thought it is a photo! Thats a realy great work and i am feeling with you, in germany we got a very cold period too. The camerapoint and vegetation you used is awesome and matching perfect with the light
Ein ganz tolles Bild
Wonderfully realistic! The water is awesome!
Fantastic!!!!!!!! Beautiful creation!!!!!

Excellent work!!
Beautiful!!!!
Looked at your link to Peder and you were right stunning work..lots of inspiration there. This must be very pleasant scene to do if you are still in the thick of winter!
Very beautiful work!
Excellent scene, you have achieved your goals
Mycket, mycket, mycket vackert!!
Ah good idea, Lars, I feel the same about winter! (and I do not live in Denmark!)
This looks like a photo. Gorgeous!
excellent work with realism. I missed your landscape realism renders with full richness of vegetation details such as this one. wonderful trees too.
Nicely done-- rich with detail
Outstanding.
Very beautiful..nice work!!
Superb work
Excellent Art, great job
Really nice peaceful scene. I even like the foreground mudbank. one thing bothers me though. Its no a mistake on your part, but the creek looks polluted to me. orange tint of the and the oil slick in the extreme foreground. Where I live those are signs of a polluted stream
Perhaps you weren't going for realism, but you certainly came close to it. Beautiful composition and fantastic variety of plants and trees. Inspiring and beautiful work.
Very nicely done. - Bob
