Description
This is a Weeping Beech, if I translate the name literally from Dutch.
(which is: Treur-berk).
Latin name: Fagus sylvatica "pendula".
The first photo I took Nov. 12th, the second one is of Nov, 30th,
so only 18 days between. (wow, I can count good, huh!?!)
Behind the tree is our village, and the street where we live.
(our house about 250 meters directly behind it)
And now the result of that crazy upload of yesterday:
When Karel was peeling the potatoes, he discovered a very special copy.
What you saw was the inside of a potato
which had a very strange disease, anyway with nice textures.
I'm sorry, I have not dried it. Next time I want to do this!
Your ideas about it were also very special.
I must say, we've had a lot of fun on some suggestions.
F.E. that one from Richard(Richardphotos):
"a pig's ear that some critter has been chewing on".
Four smart friends were good with their idea:
Cheryl (clbsmiley)
Cees (farmerC)
Errol (sharky)
Bob (Bobgallgos).
The winners will get a bag full of Dutch potatoes,
of course of excellent quality.
However, to collect personally, please.
Thank you very much for your cooperation.
Love to you all!

This is such a cool collage Mies, and it really shows the dramatic affect the seasons have on our surroundings
very beautiful shots!
I would never have guessed what that was! These photos show how very quickly nature changies things. But it will soon be spring! The seed catalogue came today..hooray!
DANG!!SO I guessed wrong LOL! I only saw a half eaten bone. ;-) BUT THESE TWO TREES! WOW WOW! This is awesome. You took shots of same tree Dressed and Naked. Shame on you Jacomina ;-DDDDDDDDDDD
Schitterende opname's.
Great tree Mies!!! You had me laughing with the commentary!! :) :)
Now I understand where Piet Mondrian drew inspiration for his series of trees ("red tree", "gray tree", "apple tree in bloom") ;) The second image is filled with charm! Gorgeous shots! :)
this is cool
F A N T A S T I C !!!
EXCELLENT WORK!
amazing what the passage of time will do, even in short bursts Cool information about the previous upload
That was one bad SPUD! ;) (just in case, you didn't know - we call potatoes also spuds) *** These are two lovely images and comparisons - next to each other and each has it's own merits! "After Winter must come Spring", famous lyrics by Lauryn Hills come to my mind and Andrea can hardly wait, methinks ... take care, J. BB
Wonderful photos and composition! Marvelous colors!
interesting contrast of images,great capture
Great! I was on the moon with the previous image. These two are very interesting, the second looks like the grandpa of the first. Is amazing how it changed in so few days.
Great shots and idea!
What a difference!! It's so interesting to see the same tree in different seasons, even if it was only a few weeks apart! Thank you for sharing this! I love to see how things progress. As for the potato ... I was totally wrong! I could blame it on Helle and say I was unduly influence by her, but honestly, I thought the same as she did, and her saying so gave me courage to guess out loud. :P
Good idea and shot.
Great difference. Cool shot!!!
Very nice collage Jacomina.
Gorgeous set of images Mies. I was close on the guess, but not quite right. I thought it was a fungus, I guess it was a disease on a potato, so mabe it was a potato fungus :)
Wonderful collage of photos!! What a differance a few days make!
Strange and wonderful---
very beautiful tree on both accounts. a potato? I had no idea but it makes sense
fantastic my friend!
Eine wunderbare Idee diese Weide zu verschiedenen Jahreszeiten zu fotografieren. Du wohnst in einer ländlichen Idylle....
This is a fantastic before and after collage. What a fast change in 18 days!
