Description
the Chief has it's diesel engine running ready to move the flat rail cars loaded with locomotives. I wanted to wait but had no idea when they would actually move it out. I will check early this morning. I had not seen the Chief running before although I know they use it to move the museum trains around. after the flat cars are outside a licensed Engine will take them to their new home. there was no engine present so that could be what they were waiting for. the huge locomotives maybe moved in January
my electric went out tonight.that is why I am up.had to reset the clock and start my computer

Fantastic capture!!
great foto.
Wonderful shot! I love those old trains. Well, actually I love just about any train.
Great capture!!!
Cool!
That looks like an E-8, but I can't tell if it has six or four axles. If four, then it is probably an F7. The headlights include a "MARS" light which produces the swirling action of the headlight which can be seen at night. Thanks for sharing. Where were these locomotives located?
I love this locomotive. Your shot is fantastic. Bravo
BEAUTY
Fabulous shot, Richard. I always loved the locomotive model. I had it for my model railway back in the 1960s.
It's a fascinating shot of an old puller.
