Description
Dear Val:
I told you I owed you a winter scene with your girl Joyce. It took me a while but I hope you like what I did with her here. I love her strong makeup lines and those spooky white/blue eyes.
Thank you, she is a perfect dark maiden for the winter season.
Needs a full view to really see her lovely facial tattoos.
I don't do portraits that often but I had fun on this one getting her wild frozen hair effects to work right.

Excellent work! You've made a really icy maiden for sure. I like the hair and those eyes are especially captivating.
A really incredible portrait, Roxy! I like what you've done here - of course I like all your work! Fantastic effects and I like the facial tattoos - super work, my friend!
She's frosty and altogether at home in a different element, but she still makes me think of a Rusalka. That's not a bad thing, either! I love the intensity of this image and the manner in which you composed everything. Amazing, sensitive work. Again, I noticed the lighting and the overall visual mood. There seems to be a focus on the air itself here as it seems to be a character. It's invisible, but there's this wonderful haze to it that is indicative of frost, but not big flakes of frost...more like tiny crystals that would refract light if a stronger light source were placed in front of the viewer. This is quite intense in all of the best ways.
