Description
I had intended to post something lighthearted Friday night after I got home from work, but in light of the dark events of early Friday I thought I would post something a little more soothing instead.
My heart goes out to the families of the victims of this inexcusable and senseless act of violence. They are and will be in my thoughts and prayers.
There's little that can be said that hasn't already been said, and I had a rant regarding the pathetic and cowardly wastes of DNA that perpetrate these acts all prepared for this post. But that will be for another time. For now, let us provide whatever support we can for those who lost loved ones in this tragedy. May they find peace and solace in the coming days.
This photo was taken at Powell Gardens near Kansas City a few months ago. I did a little playing in Photoshop with Filter Forge.

same her also Rod, had a simple portrait i was going to post. had to stop and create something for this small town and elementary school. was so sad to hear again about gun violence. i can only imagine what they are going through, that one image of that woman on her cell phone screaming was just so heartbreaking along with many others, that one video where it shows that child running past her mother up the hill to get away. this is a exceptional image Rod, many thanks my friend for thinking of the childern and adults..

Another severe black mark for the NRA and will leave it at that for now... I think all will agree that enough is enough and lets pass some legislation that is current with the times we live in now and not let another senseless tragedy ever get a chance to ever happen again... On a side note I received your TNA girls Christmas Card yesterday and wanted to say Thank You and wish you and your family a most Seasonal of Greetings even under the current circumstance... May the children and those effected find piece if there is such a thing...Such a sad sad day and my thoughts are with those today....

I put my many rants about gun control onto a news blog because I want to keep this site free of discord. One thing I have to ask is what in the world a so called sweet family mom was doing with a semi-automatic rifle and two pistols including a gloc, the latter a well known murder weapon? As a FORMER gun owner who had her weapons melted down rather than put them back into the system this is beyond imagination to me.

I was deeply shocked by this event. My daughter is the same age as those kids and you can't help but think "what if?" I just don't understand... children. Why???
Quite Rod.... People all over the world admire the 'British Bobby' on the beat, he carries no gun, has nothing more violent than in some cases now, a tazer, or harsh words, and yet last year only 19 people were killed by guns in the whole of the U.K. Where am I going, well, guns are banned, unless you have a 'real' need for holding a firearms license.. There are no maybes, if you have one, you ARE bad.. End of! So, why, do 'normal' people need to buy and hold multiple guns in the house, including Assault Rifles!!!! They do not, No guns, no need.. I'm sorry, but it is really very very simple.. If your Country does not change, it WILL happen again.. And further more, blaming films and videogames for it is not a reason.. It is not.. Sorry for my Rant on your Dedi Rod, it is a fine worthy Dedi.. Well posted mate.. Rob
