Description
Peony
Your blossoms
Like plump scoops of ice cream
In a Springtime sundae
You are such a delightful treat
So tempting and sweet.
Pink Peonies prose by Carol Cavalaris ©
Peonies are one of the many edible flowers, the petals used to make tea, as well as added to a salad, or floating in pink lemonade or punch.

Gorgeous image!
Such beautiful artwork Carol, this is another gorgeous addition to this series. I didn't know you could eat these petals they would look great in a salad. I have about a dozen different ones growing here as they are one of my favourite flowers. Your poem captures the peony to perfection. You make such inspirational pictures.
