Description
We had a fantastic day today - I shot somewhere in the area of 200 or so photos as we drove around Outlook Drive, and hiked a few short trails, many leading to steep cliffs and spectacular views.
The day ended with this sunset. I shot this with my 300mm lens, while kneeling behind a big rock, using it to steady the camera. I'm sure I looked like some kind of sniper the way I was positioned behind that rock! There was a strong (and cold) wind from the west.
I'll have more photos posted soon - and will probably set up a gallery on my website when we get home. I'll provide a link to it when I get it done.
I'm going to try and get somewhat caught up on comments, but it may be a few days before I'm able to post or comment. We're going to Petit Jean State Park next. The lodge there has Wifi, but from what they told me, it may or may not reach as far as our room, but it does work from the lobby.

Great shot! Kind of reminds me of when I was at sea, I would see sunsets just like this, but instead of mountains it would be the horizon...nice..

WOOOOOOOOOOOW! Nice sunset shot buddy! VERY COOL! Now, as every sniper knows, you have to adjust for the wind when making such a long shot. Looks like you compensated very well, LOL!
