Description
i would like to thank my dear friend Naomi/Lunchlady for sending me this new package with bg's lights and poses by her and Sveva called mystic steampunk.. killer stuff!!
i highly appreciate the comments and frienships i share with you all. thank you for the visit.
would like to share this odd thing that might be some sorta of scam. i being broke have put a few items on craigslist, the item in question is a curio cabinet i put up for sale. there were a couple of bullshit yes i'll take it things, but no back replies on them. i had one person that said he wanted it and would pay me and extra $40.00 if i held it for him until he got a check sent, i replied back saying it had to be a cash only thing. reply was the check will be a cerified check with the curio cabinet amount and additonal funds for some movers he was to send over. i was let him know when the check cleared in the bank to pay the movers and my part. i had asked him where he lived and he never would mention it. he said he needed my name, addy and phone. i gave that part to him. he said the check would be sent fed ex in a few days. i got this check today for $2,495.00, i was in disbelief. the envelope that had the check was mailed from uniontown pa. why would someone pay me 390 for a cabinet unseen? i thought this person lived in the city where i live. can't he find a cabinet locally? and since when does it cost two thousand plus dollars to ship something to pa? so i did not deposit this check i e-mailed him back saying he would have to pay the movers himself, and not my responsibility and also he would have to send me a money order for the cost of cabinet. i sent my message this morning and have heard nothing back..
what do you all think????
this is a huge concern to me right now and your imput will help. thanks Steve

It's 1:30am, my eyes hurt and as interesting as what you wrote I'd like to read the comments, but didn't... I feel apprehensive about giving out my name and phone number.... I had a neighbor who lost her purse and she needed a social security card - with just her phone bill and name, she was able to get a social security card - now, with that, she could get a license... Thiefs don't need much anymore. I had my computer worked on my someone over the net, I sat here and watched where he was going on my computer - I don't have any bank info or stuff like that on my computer, so I wasn't too nervous... ....ok, as far as the guy sending you a check, did you talk to him on the phone? do you have his name and phone number? I'd deposit that check, talk to the bank and ask them how long you have to wait before it's TOTALLY safe and then get on the net and find a cheap way how to send it.... Why does he want yours? easy, he may have a set but not that piece. I remember stopping at a garage sale and seeing furniture that looked just like the set my X had but some pieces were different - I almost bought them - didn't need them, but they would of looked great together.... lots of people are into buying out of state. I've known several people who drove across the country to get a vehicle or motorcycle... Deposit the check and wait for it to clear. ....tell me if that was good advice or if someone has a good reason why you shouldn't - I'm curious.
Great character and image! Let the bank see the cheque.
Exellente creation.
Remembers me on a title of an album of Neil Young - a real dark but nice scene.
Great work on this Steve well done.. Sounds like the major consenters is its a scam, find another buyer mate!
well done image.
What a nice outfit!Very lovely scene,my friend.
Awesome scene and details, love the colors here, excellent work*******
Very cool image Steve; it is very nicely done take the check to the bank and have them work it over: personally, I think it is a scam
Something does not sound right with that check, fantastic scene and beautiful character, love the lighting, outstanding work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steve, this is awesome throughout, love the atmosphere and mystical feel of the setting, excellent work! I'm glad you posted your situation/question~ My opinion is 110% scam, sounds like this person's after your ID, nevermind the money he/she can steal from you. If I were you, I would report this. My husband & I use Craigslist all the time but we don't even reply to emails where potential buyers want to use checks. Go to Craigslist and click on 'About' then 'Avoiding Scams & Fraud'~ There are multiple links for reporting this kind of suspicious activity. I hope this helps, my friend!
I was staring at the picture and suddenly felt dizzy because I wasn't breathing for a while... Impressive!
fabulous image!! I suspect either it's as Stratkat said, and they got your account number or it's a money laudering affair and they are testing you. So I think it would be better that you go to your bank or to the police (as I'd do here in Italy, but I don't know the US laws about this kind of crimes). Here in Italy we have a police special branch about this kind of scam.
This is such a wickedly cool image Steve, amazing lighting and a fantastic pose.....as always excellent work.
Ahhh... go for it. If you can't trust a Nigerian prince and his posse, who can you trust? BTW, beautiful render!
A wonderful image, Steve. Love the lighting and the atmosphere.
I'm sorry to hear someone is pulling this scam on you! I wish you luck! Wonderful creation!
Excellent work here my friend!!
Astonish use of character & background Steve
Ha! I don't know if you remember or not, but I live in Pennsylvania. So I checked Yahoo Maps to find out where this Uniontown is located. It turns out it's located in the western part of the state near the West Virginia border over 200 miles from where I live. I thought what a blast it would have been to show up at the address and tell him I have his curio cabinet for him. LOL! :) Otherwise, I don't know crap about Craigslist. And I just buy stuff on eBay sometimes and that's all PayPal. But good luck with this, buddy, and I would definitely talk to somebody about it. Awesome scene here, my friend!
A wonderful dark scene steve!! Great lighting, color, and composition my friend!! Be very wary on this transaction, sounds fishy to me.
