Description
It was just sitting there, looking like it came with the house. Tearing the back off a 1920's building might mean finding interesting things in the walls ... one never knows. As it turned out, it's quite an ordinary bottle, emptied of its contents (some sort of liqueur) quite recently and pressed into service because the kitchen is mostly packed away. The simple, old-fashioned styling caught my eye and my immediate thought was that it was something quite old. Even though I was mistaken, any bit of glass with light playing in the corners is worth a few photos! :)

quite frankly, I think that this looks very old. I've never seen this style before! do you know what it contained? Cool capture against the wood
The splinters and what look like "dead" nails drew my attention first, and then, I thought that maybe you'd been on the Number 8 train again, because in Agara, wormwood-infused sköý comes in bottles like that, only with a slight, greenish tinge to imply absinth, despite the fact that Agarans never really cultivated a taste for absinth-proper. But that's just me...dipping between worlds again. In THIS world, I can see that this is more than just your ordinary bottle. It looks a bit timeless and as if it actually did contain something of not-too-mundane pedigree, despite the screw cap. I love the light in the bottom of the bottle...light, by its nature is...um...well...light and so upwardness is implied and yet there it is in all of its downwardly glory! This is incredibly well-seen and well composed. And who knows, maybe it did once contain wormwood-infused sköý (nasty stuff!!! It'll put hair on your teeth, as an Agaran would say) One never knows.

The "Pink light streaks" are actually orange paint that is indicating a weak spot in the floor - it reminds us not to step there. The bottle contained Creme de Noyaux, a liqueur made from fruit stones in The Netherlands. A splash of Creme de Noyaux is a fabulous ingredient in the perfect Manhattan. Ask Tara's husband! Nice pic, sis.
Belle composition
Wonderful image and I know that analogy of being thrown by a subjects history. We do seem to have a propensity to revert back, modern cars are more and more resembling their 1920-30's predecessors. The Chrysler PT Cruiser as one example.

Ah, yes.... Glassy sparkly things are always a delight - especially when the contrast with some nice, wood-y textures. You have such a way of making the common uncommonly delightful, Tara!
