Description

I have decided that 'morningglory' is correct and this bird is an immature Little Blue Heron - despite the fact that I have never seen a mature one at my pond, lol. This is another example of having a shot I wanted to save despite a very cluttered and overpowering background. Once again I removed the original background and added one I created. Most of my images are of insects and taken up close so their backgrounds have been altered by the 'bokeh' effect. These heron images were taken up to 100' away from the subject and did not benefit from this effect. In addition, my pond is so low (due to our extended drought) that many shots in this series had overgrown embankments as the background and all that 'in focus' foliage was distracting.
