Description
This is my 2nd posted image of this bird. I am still not sure of the species but it is either a heron or an egret.
My thanks to those who took the time to offer feedback on my last image. It is appreciated.
I got lucky because as I was focusing on the bird for this shot, it ruffled its feathers for a second or so and I caught the action. I had not seen this before. It certainly changed the birds appearance, lol.
It spent a couple of hours just flying from place to place on my pond and feeding on fish - mostly minnows and young bream. The continued drought in my area has reduced my pond to almost a puddle. It is 6' below what it should be and that makes the fish easy picking for water birds.

Wonderful shot. I love watching birds bathe. They have so much joy in it. :-) I wondered if the pond was holding up this year. Sounds like it's struggling...

Very nice picture. I like the ruffled feathers and reflection in the water. I also enjoy the more natural background but would like to see another with the water turned just a bit more blue. Very nice shot.
