Description
Well I said I would be doing surreal New York and I don't think you get much more gritty surrealism than this. Not a pretty picture is it?
This one is for Seth (BarryJeffer) who inspired me to post this one when he commented in my last post: think about all the ones you don't see... those who survive under the city and in the alleys and the old warehouses and abandoned factories, or just in small corners of the streets". Yep, surviving on a small corner of a street.
Shot on a scorching hot day on the hard streets of the Bronx. From what I was able to see, this guy is an American veteran, who having served society now finds society has dumped him in the trash bin. His home is now a bench in a 10 x 10 m bit of green park, near Fordham University, where the rich Christian kids go. That Christian university is gated, you cannot get in without a pass. In some ways I cannot blame them.
I leave it to you to make your own not so pretty story from this.

When walking through your gallery I saw this one and it immediately caught my eyes. I want to express my respect for posting it. Not the daily mainstream we see here, for sure. As artitsts we are dedicated to show the beauties of art in every imagineable way, however we cannot be blind to the realities of this world. A shame to see where we have come to as so called modern civilized cultures. Thank you for sharing. Cheers, -Trifid-
