Description

This is a bit of a response to Rob's image(Emergency Post)after reading what is to become of our armed forces. On a more personal note...feeling a bit glum today as after recently starting a new job some of us are to be made redundant. Thanks for looking.

MAN! Excellent "photo"! "Glory Days", yes! What they were made for! I recall, after the Falklands War 1982, I made a Sea Harrier (Airfix) and sent my brother. He was very happy to receive it. A fine plane with very unique abilities, well proven in battle. Amazing it's been shelved. Looks like we'll need preservation societies for modern aircraft, with fly-bys, etc., like at Duxford. Maybe such "museum" planes will wind up being the only defence left after all the politicos have destroyed everything else! I sincerely hope YOU're not being made redundant! All this down-sizing of everything, including defence. Where's the money going to? It used to be for jobs, salaries. But now? Keep up the good work! :-)

T.rex said it.. One of the very few Battle proven aircraft in the world, in almost all theaters! And we scrap it! It beggers belief! You know how I feel about this aircraft mate! This is stunning!!!!!!!!!!!! It brought a tear to my eye when I opened it! I miss them THAT friggin' much! New desktop, new Fave! Mail on its way mate! Rob

Blasting over San Carlos Water looking for the Argies....." I counted them all out and I counted them all back in again.." Like Concord, a proven design put to the sword "because we can "....need to put these back in service and 'mount' a few Politicians as gate guardians...... Stunning image, masterful aviation art, great dedi and a great post...thanks.

Well done Mike. Great aircraft...my first avatar on Rendo was me standing on a ladder next to the cockpit of one of these beauties. OK, it was at an airshow...would have been fun to get checked out in one! Fat chance;-)
