Hi Friends,
About a month ago I took this picture in our neighborhood.
I also was by bike, but stood somewhere beside the road for taking landscape pictures.
As I saw this girls in the distant, I thought, this would make a lovely shot.
They where biking fast, it was very windy, but so lovely to be outside.
Unfortunately I have no energy to visit your galleries, which I had planned.
But we worked hard at home.
Also Karel, he had to restore things which where needed to be removed
because of the new heater.
And my goodness, what a dust there was (and maybe still is).

p.s. I don't know these two girls personally, but I love and like them very much.
They are so different types, rather interesting to me.

Great capture, Mies! I can almost hear the handlebar bells, telling me to move off the path or get run over! LOL At least they're not bromfietsen (I've also almost been eliminated from this earth by a few of those! LOL). Sure hope you get feeling better soon! God bless. ~Robert

A great outdoors, summer scene shot
You have a very soothing shot here. In spite of the wind, there is comfort in their closeness.
Your comment made me zoom to see the similarities and the differences, and I enjoyed the trip! I wonder about the thought process when someone gets dressed to go on a bike ride. I am such a practical person and give little thought to fashion. My outfit would have been lace-up tennis shoes and low socks, long or short pants depending upon the weather, and a loose cotton shirt for comfort. If I needed to carry a bag with me, I would have tied it to the back rack, not slung it over my shoulder. But these girls are fashionable, with their bags over their shoulders and their various choices in attire! It makes for a better picture, I'm sure, than me in my comfy non-fashion business. I like their identical poses. Very nice!

I had to laugh at Tara's comment and I would like to add, those old style handlebars are never seen around here anymore - it's mainly Racing- or Mountain-bikes - with different handlebars altogether ...
