Description
Never noticed this one light on in the Clock Tower wing until I got back home. Gives it kinda of a creepy look, thinking some deviant civil servant was working away so late. Or maybe it was just the cleaning lady.
Today this Gothic icon of Victorian London was renamed The Elizabeth Tower in honour of the Queen's Jubilee.

A wonderful day for England. I hope I live long enough to see William crowned!
That's Ebenezer's new office....Bob is still working there all these years.... Great capture then again, this could be the inspiration for CCR's "Long as I can see the light"
A most beautiful view Roxy... awesome shot!!!
Dizzying perspective and excellent shot. That is funny about the one light. Excellent post work and I still can't believe they changed the name. Well, I guess it is true some companies give their long term employees a clock or watch after so many years of service so, Queen Elizabeth gets one of the biggest!
cool view Roxy, love your shot.
I am watching the concert now.. Great show so far. And great photo.
Marvelous photo, glorious Victorian architecture!
Great POV! Well done.
This really is a magnificent capture Roxy, those lights are breathtaking
Excellent
The perspective is very impressive and just love that contrast of colors from bright gold to bluish tint. It looks like it has two sides, a very good interpretation and very meaningful too.
Awesome shot! Perhaps they were inside cleaning up all the paperwork to do with the renaming of the tower, so maybe your photo is historic as well as interesting!
This is an awesome shot of ahem 'Big Ben'. That's sort of cool though that they named it for Elizabeth. Wonderful light and colors in this, Roxy!
Big Ben as never seen before! Too cool! :)
Amazing view-funny how many people still refer to it as Big Ben and always will i suppose.
A very beautiful shot.
Stunning work
Excellent, well done.
Fantastic perspective Roxy and capture!!! Love the wonderful lighting!!!
Great shot of the most famous landmark in Britain looking like it was made of gold dramatically set against black sky. This building reminds me of a quotation by Kenneth Clark who when he was asked why old buildings are so much more beautiful than the modern variety exclaimed, "But the builders were artists!" (as opposed to architects..;). They leave the last light on to discourage thieves...
A very dramatic presentation of this well known landmark!
WOW! Powerful image here, Sweetie!!
Really beautiful shot of Big Ben!!!!!!
Super capture Great POV!
I think it was some one staying up late to surf the web..... And what a wonderful angle on this, Roxy! I've never seen a shot of BB from this angle - very cool! Great eye as always, my friend!
Great photo
I like the upwards perspectice and the way the walls come out so warm and golden in the night light. And yes, it is eery to see that single light. This setting tempts the mind to come up with all kinds of gothic stories for this.
is this the famous clock tower also known as big ben? this is an excellent shot.
