Description
I don't have a lot, but with me that's fine
Whatever I got, well, I know it's mine
I don't go around with the local crowd
I don't dig what's in so I guess I'm out
I'm saying these things
So you know me, baby
So, you understand what I'm all about
The boat that I row won't cross no ocean
The boat that I row won't get me there soon
But I got the love and if you got the notion
The boat that I row's big enough for two
Just me and you
Music: The Boat that I Row, by Neil Diamond. I will be heading to Atlanta tomorrow to meet my daughter Jenna there, we are attending a Neil Diamond concert, her and her husband got me front row seats for a Christmas gift and we are both so excited we can hardly stand it. I turned her into a bigger fan that I am by playing his music through the years. This will be my 5th Neil Diamond concert and Jennas very first. We are spending the night in Atlanta and going to visit the Georgia aquarium the next day, and if we have time the Coca Cola Museum. I will try to get loads of photos.
The photo was taken in downtown Knoxville Tennessee, the name of the statue is "the Oarsman created in 1988 by Oklahoma artist David Phelps.

Such an interesting sculpture - let's hope his boat didn't sprung a leak ;) anyhow, enjoy the concert, I know I would - his voice is so mellifluous ... looking forward to lots of pix from it, Lynell BB

Great capture and quite adecuate song! Neil Diamond is my favorite singer,I thought that he was already retired. I have almost all of his LP's (Yes, no CD).You are lucky to go. I hope you'll enjoy the concert and yes, I'll be waiting for the photos.
Pretty neat illusion...fantastic capture
The clarity was exceptionnal my beautiful . Nice narration and Neil young great singer ((5++))
Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream............ The Coca Cola Museum? I never knew there was such a thing. And there is no The Boat that I Row in my Neil Diamond CDs. That said, cool capture of the cool sculpture, Lynelle. Kind of reminds me of The Philadelphia Experiment.
i like some Neil Diamond, have not listened to him in decades, don't recall that tune. great shot of ths sculpture Lynell.
You and Jenna are going to have a marvellous time by the sound of things. I love how they have made this statue and the song goes so well with it. Have fun.
Wonderful work,
Great shot of a very quirky looking statue. You got a lovely richness and low shadows so I suspect you made full use of an overcast day. Ooops, forgot to say wishing you an awesome experience at the concert!
outstanding photo capture, you are so lucky getting to see neil diamond, i'm drooling with envy!:( have lots of fun and take some photos!:)*5
what a whimsical sculpture! you'll have to show me around there next time i visit - seems i've more to learn about knoxville! beautifully shot and postworked lynell as usual - and great lyrics to accompany it! have a blast tomorrow - i'll be with you in spirit ...and speaking of spirits, have a margarita or two for me at that mexican restaurant, ok? :) ...and speaking of imbibing spirits, i still wonder how the oarsman can look so carefree while paddling what appears to be a severely capsized boat...? ...and speaking of boats, i know of one too, if you're interested... ;) xoxo
Awesome capture & quality! Now I'm gonna have to dig out my Neil Diamond Vinyl! Have FUN! :)
