Description
The picture is loosely based on the worlds of genial Russian SF writers - brothers Strugatskie. Progressors are special secret agents who are sent from Earth to impose progress on stagnant planets (feudal, in most cases). After several progressor operations on various planets the progressor missions were abandoned because of moral issues. Here, the progressor girl is probably French and homesick.
In modern history, as an example, the progressor missions of imposing the communist regime were carried out by the leaders of the Soviet Union. And - the total failure of them in the end. Nowadays the progressor activity, in particular, is being performed by the USA administration and other developed countries. And the results we all know.. In other words - do we (Americans, Europeans, in short - westerners) have a right to impose our doubtful democracy virtues on other nations (Near-Eastern in particular).
Thanks for looking and sorry for the long preamble :-).

Very beautiful scene!
Absolutely spectacular. This is a gorgeous render. From the screen lighting up her face to the wonderful textures and skin to the marvelous expression and the pose featuring her casually holding the cigarette, everything looks perfect. Stunning art.
Strong words and great image ! The hand and fingers pose is just perfect !
Fascinating! I'm not familiar with their work, but a comparison to The Wachowski brothers occurred to me. Your scene and this render is extraordinary! Her focus is absolutely uncanny, so natural and intense, and your lighting/textures are, as always, completely masterful! A consuming, utterly captivating work, my friend!
everything in this image is perfect, from the lighting, character and props.
This is simply an amazing looking render - love your related Info too!
Gorgeous lighting and scene!
What will she do in Paris ? I'm scared for my country !!! Dramatic scene, very well done, lighting is perfect.
Excellent work, Vadim, your lighting's spot on and the textures really are outstanding. Interesting storyline, I'm not familiar with the brother's work but it's well represented by your mix of modern tech with the feudal looking room and it's furnishings. Top shelf piece...
chevy77 said what i was going to lol great job
Very nice artwork. Thanks also for the info. Frans
Excellent éclairage et beau rendu!!!
my view at the us of a changed big time (not the people but the administrations)-but then the people vote these administrations right.?? anyway what i wanted to say is that my home country the grand duchy of luxembourg was liberated by the us army in 1944 (general patton). in my school days americans where heroes for us. but when i look back at all the political and social bullshit the united states come up with since the last 50 years i must say america no place for me.a visit yes to live no. but then they control the whole world including the economic crisis against the euro. the main god is the "dollar" and when the little god "euro" became too strong he had to be knocked down. thats it for me.
I am a little bit lost. Is the girl a progressor or a feodal victim? So today Paris is controlled by progressors ie. the american power....Very political comment! Great scene and realistic decor. Outstanding artwork :-)
