Description
I wanted to create an image with a more illustrative feel, like an image for a book cover or a poster. Not sure it's a success, but that's what I had in mind.
Don't hesitate to watch fullsize.
As usual, posed and set up in Daz Studio. Materials tweaking, lighting and rendering in Octane Render.
Background made in Vue and Gimp.
I used a HDRI and meshlights for lighting and pathtracing kernel with alpha channel. Postwork in Gimp for resizing, signature, background compositing and smoke.
Thanks for viewing and taking time to leave a comment.
Have a great time.
Many thanks too for your comments and favs on my previous image.

That IS a big gun! Great pose and background composition really makes the image pop. The cigar is a nice touch :)
Marvelous character, cool POV, and the background is awesome! EXCELLENT job!
Awesome image, cool looking character and pose...excellent work.
Amazing realism, excellent PoV for this powerful character, fantastic work, my friend! 5 Stars!
Wow, ça,c'est un GUN! Le POV est trop, trop.......bien fait! absolument excellent!
Fantastic!!! great concept and yes it worked as you were trying.. all of it is perfection defined! an absolute pleasure!!! thank you, DUDE!!!
If that big gun don't get you ,, then that big left fist will!! Nice touch with the cigar and smoke.
yah... you nailed it!
Great use of perspective.
Ha oui, c'est très bien. L'angle de camera est spectaculaire. Et j'aime beaucoup l'arrière plan aussi , il crée une ambiance très vintage!
Great as usual!!! Good work
Excellent texture and light.
I think you realized the feel fine, great hard character and the BG is very fitting, Quite pulp-like other than Octane's penchant for utter realism regarding textures and clarity... maybe a little softer light?
amazing guy and fabulous POV
Awesome! ")
An Exceptional Quality Render,
This is awesome... excellent render!!!!
haha very good work! nice pov
Absolutely brilliant. It's definitely a success.
Absolutely amazing detail are superb !!!
Excellent render!
This is my kind of illustration:) I love the "punch you in the face" style. The simple yet beautiful background really helps accentuate the character. My critique is that I would like to have seen the cigar glow & a glow from the end of the gun. A hot, burning color that contrasts everything else & draws the eye from one place to the other.
Very cool, and a departure I like...great character and pose,as well as composition.I can see this as a book cover for sure!
Gotta love a cigar-smoking leviathan, and the fact that it's so nice to look at is extra creamy icing!
Extra, belle image :)
Wow!!! Belle perspective!!! Excellent. B->
Superb POV, great character, excellent rendering!
That's one mean dude Thierry. Just look at that gun!!! You do wonderful work with Xurge3d's outfits my friend :)
