Description
It has been awhile since I included some of my poetry with my art work, so today I'm sharing this little poem I wrote several years back:
My Dreams
In my dreams I often go
Back to my childhood, so long ago
When life was much simpler, you see
Fairytales seemed so real to me.
I didn't have many cares or fears
Mom was there to wipe away my tears.
There was freedom to run and play,
Fun and laughter filled my days.
Now my dream, Dear God I pray,
Is for a better world for the kids today.
Working toward this goal, we can not fail.
So today kids can believe in Fairytales.

I love the poem, dear Doris.. and it is so true. The world is much scarier and complicated than when I was a kid, that's for certain. Delightful image as well.. depicts the fun and innocence of that time so well.

LOVELY work and words, Miss Doris! .... WE 'adults', have TOO OFTEN let down our 'youngsters' .... ~SIGHS~ .... This OLD man has also found that when one LOSES the 'kid' within, a PART of them 'dies' .... T.P.
